Jehovah- Nissi, The Lord is Conqueror,
Lord, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me! Many are saying to me “God will not deliver him”. But you are a shield around me, Lord; you bestow glory on me and lift up my head. To the Lord I cry aloud, and He answers me from His holy hill (Psalm 3:1-4). For I have waited patiently for you and the Lord has heard my cry; you lifted me out of the slimy pit, the mud and the mire setting my feet on a rock. You have given me a firm place to stand, putting a hymn of praise in my mouth, a hymn of praise I rejoice. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord (Psalm 40: 1-3).
I know I am more than a conqueror for the Spirit helps us in our weaknesses (Romans 8:26, 37). I believe I will no longer conform to this world, but be renewed by the transforming of my mind (Romans 12:2). I believe I can build something great with all my gifts and talents, for as the Israelites were released to build the Temple with silver, gold, livestock and valuable things, I will use all my gifts to glorify you in worship, praise, and thanksgiving (Ezra 1:6).
I know I can do nothing on my own (John 5:19). I know you search the heart and the mind giving to men according to their deeds (Jeremiah 17:10) I desire all my deeds to glorify you. Thank you for releasing me of my strongholds, out of captivity, and slave to sin no more! I praise your goodness! In the name of Jesus of Nazareth I pray, amen.
